Isn’t it happiness to keep others happy?

My name is Ale. 

I am a photographer living in Verona. Since I was 5 years old, I went with my photographer aunt to make reportage for the newspaper, developed photos with her in the mysterious red room, absorbing a taste for this timeless profession. 

Until now I still have her 1980 Zenit. Sometimes I take it in my hands to take several shoots, to remind myself how hard it was…. and how much love there is in this! As the years went by, I tried different things, but as soon as I have a camera in my hands, magic starts. 

I loose any sence of time, making photos for hours. After moving to the city of love, I decided to do what I love — photography. Now every photo shoot is like a jump in a time loop, here it is, one blink of an eye and hours have already flown away.

My philosophy as a photographer — to capture the most vivid and natural moment on the photo. To keep minimalism, beauty, focus and, most importantly, to keep the mystery. A kind of rebus that for each person will have his own answer. 

How and what do I photograph

Isn’t it happiness to keep others happy? There is a certain cliché or success secret: “Photograph in one niche and you will be successful and understandable for the client”. But will the photographer himself be happy? Won’t his creativity dry up? After all, each of you wants “not like everyone else, right?”.

And if the photographer does not have inspiration from other fields, will he make the photo of your wedding unique? A mentally healthy photographer is the key to awesome photos of your event.

That’s why I photograph portraits, romance, lifestyle and architecture.

While photographing people, I easily relax them. Psychology and my own calmness — the foundation of my profession. If the photographer is nervous (and that happens really often), how can the person being photographed relax?

With groups of people I become invisible. The main thing you can do at big events is to become part of the company and not to cause anxiety, but at the right moment to make 5-10 most lively and valuable shots with events. I wrote about my philosophy in a previous post.

Architecture and nature are quiet inspiration through the lens.
